Kings Langley Angling Society is a family friendly club that was formed in 1925 by a keen band of anglers for fellow anglers. Based at the Lake in Railway Terrace, the club has good local waters with excellent fishing and facilities.
What started out as one large lake (an old gravel pit) has over the years evolved into a large lake, breeding pond and a small lake. The small lake was completely remodelled in 1993 by Graham Gaywood and is now known as Gaywoods Pool.
The presence of a variety of fish species in the lakes, including Mirror & Common Carp, Crucians, Bream, Barbel, Chub, Tench, F1’s, and others, provides a broad range of opportunities for anglers of mixed abilities.
The large lake, known as The Main lake is predominantly stocked with Carp with the specimen angler in mind. The largest known fish is currently 24lb, the majority of others are mid doubles.
The Club has an active match section with a variety of home and ‘away’ venues fishing throughout the year. There are several charity matches and summer evening matches.
The provision of facilities such as flushing toilets, warm and cold running water, and ample onsite parking contributes to the comfort and convenience of members, creating a welcoming environment for families and anglers alike.
